We are looking for the Best Tree in the Inner West and we want your help!
It may seem silly to ask someone what their favourite tree is, but over the last few years as I’ve been asking the question more, people have surprised me with how seriously they take it! Trees mean a lot of different things to different people, and we want to hear all about it.
Through the whole month of October we’re hosting a competition to find the best trees in the Inner West - whatever best means to you! Tell us about a tree you grew up playing around, planted yourself, have fond memories of, or just see every day on your commute and think “damn that’s a great tree”!
If you don’t live in the Inner West, fear not! You can still nominate a tree. For all the details, you can read the full rules and winning categories below (but don’t worry, there’s not many). After the competition closes in October, there’ll be a period of voting for the People’s Choice category, and shortlisted entries will be asked to send in a short video about their tree. The competition will then close out with an awards ceremony in early November!
But that’s enough from us – we want to hear from you! Use the entry form below to nominate up to 5 trees per person over October, or get in touch with us at talk@amongthetrees.com.au if you have any questions or issues with your entry.
